The gift of life comes in many forms - whether it be blood donation, organ donation, eye donation,
or tissue donation - the impact one person can make is incredible. It can change the world.
But, what impact can one donor make?
1 organ donor can save up to 8 lives.
Through the gifts of two lungs, two kidneys, heart, liver, intestines, and pancreas.
1 tissue donor can help
heal up to 75 lives.
Through tissues that include tendons, heart valves, veins, skin, and bones.
1 eye donor can give the gift of sight to 2 people.
Corneal tissue is recovered for
transplantation to give the gift of sight to grateful recipients.
1 blood donor can save up to 3 lives right here in Western New York.
Whether you choose whole blood donation, platelet donation, or double red cell donation, you can be a hero.
1 birth tissue donor can enhance the lives of up to 100 people.
Birth tissue is used to promote healing and treat burns and painful wounds of recipients.
