Give the gift of blood donation this holiday season
Community is urged to donate blood this December
It is the season of giving, and there is one gift you can give without even taking out your wallet.
The holidays are generally a time when fewer people give blood, but the need for blood remains constant. Blood donation will be especially important this year with the high rate of Flu and Covid cases we are experiencing across WNY. ConnectLife needs all healthy donors to roll up their sleeves and help give back to patients in need.
ConnectLife is the primary supplier of blood products to Kaleida Health, ECMC, Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center, Eastern Niagara Health, Wyoming County Community Health System, Olean General Hospital, Brooks-TLC Health System and Bradford Regional Medical Center. As WNY’s only community blood bank it is our responsibility to answer the call for blood products to ANY hospital in need, but we need help from blood donors to do that.
Donors throughout the month of December will be entered into our 27 Days of Giving raffle. One winner will be chosen each day, and prizes range from tickets to a Bills game, autographed Bills and Sabres merchandise, $100 Tops gifts cards, $100 gift cards to Hutch’s restaurant and a staycation package at Russell’s.
Anyone who is eligible to donate blood is urged to make an appointment at www.ConnectLifeGiveBlood.org or by calling 716.529.4270.
