Need last-minute eclipse glasses? Get some while saving lives with ConnectLife!
Anyone who was around for Western New York’s last eclipse saw the last-minute rush to find glasses for the spectacular event – and ConnectLife Is aiming to solve that problem while also helping to save lives at local hospitals.
Between April 1st and 6th, all donors at ConnectLife blood drives (while supplies last) will get a pair of eclipse glasses – an extra thank-you for their selflessness on top of the Sabres mini coolers that donors will receive all month long.
“The excitement around the eclipse has captivated Western New York like few other events,” said Sarah Diina, ConnectLife’s Senior Director of Marketing & Community Development. “It’s the perfect chance to make sure everyone can watch it safely and get more blood to Western New York patients whose lives depend on it.”
The glasses will also come with a reminder that April is National Donate Life month – encouraging people to sign up to be an organ donor and give hope to the 100,000 people on the national transplant waiting list. You can find out more at ConnectLife.org/Register.
All blood donated to ConnectLife stays local, saving lives at nearly every hospital in WNY’s eight counties. Donors are welcome at centers in Williamsville, West Seneca, and Tonawanda, as well as mobile drives around the area daily. To schedule an appointment, *text GIVEWNY to 999777, visit ConnectLifeGiveBlood.org or call 716.529.4270.
