On Thursday, June 27, ConnectLife staff from across Buffalo and Syracuse gathered at the KeyBank Center for a Staff Appreciation Day. Everyone arrived bright and early and sat down for breakfast to fuel up for the day.
It was the first time since before the COVID-19 pandemic that we have gathered as a group (in person) in one place!
It was a fun-filled day of speeches, workshops, and breakout sessions including: Chair Yoga, The Birds, Therapy Dogs, and Photo Booth, Quilts, and Video Testimonials.
To close out the day, we heard from a donor dad and heart transplant recipient. They both shared their inspiring stories connecting the thread between organ donation, organ recipients, and the role ConnectLife has had in their lives.
Everyone enjoyed socializing with their colleagues and friends, as well as getting to know new team members or members from different teams. Our team works 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to educate the community, inspire donation, and connect lives. The work they do impacts people not only in our community but across the United States and even the world! Reflecting on the impact each person within the organization has on the world of donation and transplantation was a truly priceless experience.
